Read a good book lately?

I always enjoyed the many different stories and books written by
Edgar Rice Burroughs that many of them have been made into Movies:

What? Read the book or tried to find out where Artyom was half the time on the maps?

I'm sure a fair few readers have tried to do that.

Just got a few books in the mail, one of them is 'Horus Rising' by Dan Abnett. It's the first book in the Horus Heresy series and I plan to get the rest of them before the end of next year.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus_Heresy_%28novels%29

I also have no doubts that 'Legion' also by Dan Abnett will be a good read.
They say it's a break from the main story line of the 'Horus Heresy' series so I think I'll be ok reading it whenever.

Similar books I own are The Greyknights Omnibus, The Soul Drinkers Omnibus, The Ravenor Omnibus, Pawns of Chaos and Titanicus (The God-Machines Go To War).

I strongly recommend these books to anyone who enjoys fantasy/scifi/action dealing with demons and humanity's soul.

Think that would be obvious to anyone already 'in the know'.
Anyone else would need a bit more to go on i think.

Sometimes I state the obvious. Bad habit of mine I should probably try and break.

That's NOT science fiction (nor is 'Sci-Fi'). If it involves demons it is either a religious document or it is horror. I don't know of any science that admits of the existence of 'demons', and ALL SF is science based, thus the name 'science fiction'.

'Sci-Fi' was a term coined by the entertainment industry in the 1960s to describe a whole series of 'Supermarionette' puppet shows like 'Stingray', 'Thunderbirds', 'Fireball XL5' and 'Joe 90'. It has nothing to do with SF and is considered baby-talk by any serious SF afficionados.

And works dealing with 'humanity's soul' are philosophy.

Warhammer: 40,000 is all these things.

Seriously.
